Jumba Bovu Exhibitions

This project explores abandoned or deteriorating buildings as living bodies that hold memories, history, and untold stories. Jumba Bovu Exhibitions examines cleansing rituals as a means of renewal, focusing on the loofah plant as a key material. 🌍🎨 Through workshops and a residency in Morogoro, this project will delve into colonial and gendered practices, showcasing art at the National Museum of Tanzania. The exhibition will be a powerful conversation on the body, identity, and history. 🌱🎬
